Planning Isn’t Just About the Numbers. It’s About You.
Roger Abel, AIF®
President | Wealth Advisor
For Roger Abel, financial education isn’t just part of the planning process, it’s the foundation of everything he does. From the start of his career, Roger was drawn to the world of investing, inspired by both his personal interest and family background in the insurance industry. Over time, he discovered that the most powerful impact he could make wasn’t in selecting investments, it was in helping clients understand the why behind their financial decisions.
Our business isn’t about picking the ‘best’ investments, those perform the same no matter where you buy them. The real value comes from helping people make informed decisions that align with their goals. It’s about having a strategy and understanding the ‘why’ behind every move.
His focus is on helping clients build strong investor habits, develop long-term strategies, and stay the course through market ups and downs. He frequently reminds clients that success isn't just about performance, it's about what you save, how you plan, and how well you stick to that plan.
I can lay out a strategic game plan, but at the end of the day, it’s the client who has to execute. My role is to be their coach to guide, support, and keep them focused on the long game. Watching someone go from feeling like retirement might never be possible to confidently stepping into that next chapter is what makes this work so meaningful.
Roger believes that when clients truly understand how their plan works and why each decision is made, they’re more confident and more likely to stay on course. That’s why he dedicates time outside of client meetings to sharing insights through public education and media. Roger helps make complex financial topics more accessible to listeners at all stages of life. Whether he’s discussing retirement income strategies, market trends, or tax-smart planning ideas, his goal is always the same: to educate, empower, and encourage better financial decisions.
Outside the office, Roger enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. Whether they’re taking a family vacation or enjoying time at the Lake of the Ozarks, he values creating memories and being present. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, and being outdoors whenever possible.
