For Ron Pfeiffer, becoming a wealth manager was more than a career choice—it was personal. Watching his grandmother spend years in a nursing home without a long-term care plan, and seeing the strain it placed on both family relationships and her life savings left a lasting impression. Ron witnessed how a lack of planning can disrupt families and derail the financial freedom that loved ones worked so hard for.
Years later, over lunch with his college friend, and PIWM founder Jeff Johnston—who shared that his favorite day of the week was Monday because of the work he did helping people plan for retirement—Ron felt a calling. Inspired by the idea of bringing clarity, confidence to others, he joined Premier in 2007 and never looked back.
Today, Ron works with a mix of clients who are already retired and those still years away from retirement. His goal is simple: to help each person feel confident that they can retire on their terms.
Nothing compares to the moment when I can tell clients they’re ready to retire—and that it’s entirely their decision when their last day of work will be. Seeing their confidence and excitement is what makes this work so rewarding.

Outside the office, Ron enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He loves traveling to Door County, Wisconsin, exploring the Great Lakes, and soaking up the sun along Florida’s Gulf Coast. A sports enthusiast, Ron is an avid fan of both watching games and participating in them—particularly when it comes to fantasy football. He enjoys the strategy, friendly competition, and camaraderie that come with managing his fantasy teams each season. When he’s not traveling or following sports, you’ll often find him unwinding with a good book.
